Kungsleden (publ) has signed a lease agreement, covering 2 600 sq.m, with the Correctional Care Center concerning a new custody and probational facilities in Östersund. The lease agreement has been approved by the Government and a construction permit for the construction of a new building on the property Karlslund 5:2 has been approved by Östersund municipality.
The new lease agreement for the custody will run for 25 years and cover 1 740 sq.m and the lease agreement for the probational facilities will run for 15 years and cover 900 sq.m. This means a total rental value of approximately MSEK 10 per year. The new building will be built on the Karlslund 5: 2 property in central Östersund, one of the Kungsleden clusters, and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2019. The lease agreements are both so-called "green leases" - an agreement between the tenant and the landlord regarding common measures to maintain or improve the premises environmental performance.
There are today several agencies and organizations such as the Police, Prosecutors, RTJ, SOS Alarm, Customs, Ambulance and Health Care Advisory and Försäkringskassan who are tenants in the property Karlslund 5:2.
