Kungsleden signs agreement with Lejonet & Björnen on a new ice cream factory in Högsbo

Kungsleden AB (publ) has signed an agreement with Lejonet & Björnen on a new 2,000 sqm ice cream factory in the property Högsbo 29:2 in Gothenburg. The factory, which will also include a showroom and office, will be built by Serneke and owned by Kungsleden.

The new factory will be completed in November 2017. Lejonet & Björnen is leasing it from Kungsleden in accordance to a 20-year lease agreement.

Högsbo 29:2 is located in Kungsleden´s cluster Högsbo in southern Gothenburg, where the company owns 18 properties (office, industrial and warehouse) with a total of 107,000 sqm. Högsbo together with Sisjön is one of the region´s leading areas for industry, offices and retail. It is located strategically near the E6 motorway and the Dag Hammarskjöld highway and also has good public transports to central Gothenburg. The area faces an exciting transformation from an industrial area to a mixed city.

“The demand for our high-quality ice cream is increasing. In order to streamline and increase production, we need a new factory.
