At Kungsleden, we continually work on creating an environment where employees feel job satisfaction and motivation. We gauge the state of the company through an annual employee survey in order to gain a guiding tool with which to work with. The previous year’s survey showed that 94% of the employees at Kungsleden feel a strong commitment to their work and 87% often speak positively about the company to others. We are proud of this figure and it stimulates us to continue our work.
Comfort in the workplace is important for both motivation and results. Kungsleden encourages physical activity both in and outside of work. The employees are offered a fitness allowance, regular health checks as well as fruit and massages at work.
Kungsleden feels a major responsibility in relation to management and staff development. We form the basis for employee development through the annual employee appraisal. Skills development and coaching take place on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Managers in Kungsleden participate in different management programs in order to develop and feel secure in their leadership role.
Kungsleden aims to have a good distribution according to sex and age, which among other things, means a more uniform age distribution in management positions. During 2007, a female Senior Vice President for Communications and Human Resources took her place in the Group Management which was previously just composed of men. All in all, the proportion of women in the organisation amounted to 43% last year.
All employees in Kungsleden are covered by a collective agreement. Kungsleden encourages parental leave for both sexes. In addition to parents’ insurance, Kungsleden pays an extra 120 days of parents’ allowance.
In Kungsleden we have a wide perspective on life and encourage new ideas just like the original thought behind the company name Kungsleden. In Kungsleden we do not differentiate employees on the basis of sex, origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or age. In Kungsleden, everyone’s words are taken seriously. Our values are characterised by a businesslike approach, a new way of thinking and flexibility.
